CBRE expanded its Romanian management team by recruiting Alexandra Baciu as Head of HR (People) for CBRE Romania, starting with September 2019. With 15 years of overall professional experience and her core expertise residing in the area of HR, Alexandra will oversee HR Strategy for the 160 employees of the CBRE Romania team.

Along her career, Alexandra experienced HR (People function) in several global organisations and sectors such as home appliances, consulting and Oil&Gas, from both the client and the service provider standpoints. Before joining CBRE, she worked as an HR Manager Romania and Bulgaria for Whirlpool Corporation. Previously, she held roles like Senior Consultant Learning and Development for Vodafone, Change Management Consultant for EY Advisory and internal Consultant for IBM and OMV Petrom. She believes in the Service Design of the HR function, merging both human interaction and business perspective that deliver positive employee life-long experiences.

“The true essence of performance starts with growing ourselves as people and provide quality services towards our own lives first. If we then add up a visionary business mindset, an inspiring working climate, a healthy coaching ethic that encompasses a positive workplace experience, we have the foundation to continuously build competencies that ensure service excellence towards our clients. CBRE is a brand with strong purpose, aiming to redesign not only the real estate services but also the community of people that make the brand”, stated Alexandra Baciu, Head of HR (People), CBRE Romania.

CBRE has been active in Romania since 2008, when it took over Romanian real estate agency Eurisko, founded in 1997. At this moment, CBRE Romania has over 160 employees in Bucharest and main cities such as Cluj-Napoca, Constanta, Iași, Timișoara, Pitesti and Baia Mare. The company offers an extensive range of integrated real estate services including transaction management and coordination, project management, design and build services, property management, investment management, valuation and strategic consultancy.

“We often say that people are the most important asset of the company without prove it. I prefer actions to words and that is why we focus on the right team dynamics, listening to people and daring decisions. The real estate market is transforming, and the workplace environment requires a new type of experts to exceed our client expectations”, added Razvan Iorgu, Managing Director at CBRE Romania.

The carbon cost is already in your building. You just can't see it yet

by Property Forum
A structural shift is rewriting the financial logic of European commercial real estate. It isn't being driven by ESG pressure or voluntary sustainability labels. It's being driven by regulation — and the numbers are concrete enough that ignoring them is becoming a financial risk. A recent white paper by workcloud24 traces the mechanism in detail: how the operational energy and CO₂ performance of a building transmits into net operating income, asset value, and financing conditions. The argument isn't that green buildings are virtuous. It's that inefficient buildings are becoming measurably more expensive to own, operate, and finance.
