BYD Electric Bus & Truck Hungary has signed a lease agreement with CTP Hungary and took possession of a 5,000 sqm industrial hall at CTPark Komárom in the first half of the year. The modern facility supports the company's green vehicle operations.

BYD's Hungarian subsidiary needed a hall with specialized industrial infrastructure for its green vehicle activities in Komárom. The newly constructed building was designed for high-tech operations and features large drive-in gates, additional electrical capacity, and an advanced power network.

"It was crucial for us to find a partner who not only responded flexibly to our special technical requirements but was also able to implement them quickly and reliably from a single source," said Henry Zhang, Managing Director of BYD Electric Bus & Truck Hungary. He highlighted that CTP's one-stop-shop implementation model facilitated the project by coordinating everything from planning and construction to licensing.

The location near Komárom and the site's transport links and access to skilled local workforce enhanced its attractiveness. The hall is targeting a BREEAM "Excellent" certification and meets high environmental standards. A rooftop solar panel system is planned for commissioning in Q4 2025.

"BYD's presence at CTPark Komárom is further proof that our tailor-made, technologically advanced, and sustainable solutions create real value for our partners," said Dr. Ferenc Gondi, Managing Director of CTP Hungary. The investment will create new jobs and contribute to electromobility growth in Hungary, supporting the country's green transition objectives.
