Bischoff & Compagnons is about to start the construction of the Alphagon Office Building in the South Buda part of Budapest. The scheme is to be completed in Q2 2019.

People spend an average of 92% of their life in buildings but their health has been not really been in focus in the past. Although there is no exact data, according to WHO 10-30% of the modern buildings do not offer a healthy environment – the ventilation and cleaning standards are low and interior pollution often rise to unhealthy levels. Today more and more tenants wish to be closer to nature and realise that the office environment affects their everyday life and also their business performance.

“We are focusing on building a balanced tenant mix in Hungary, Slovakia and Austria as well. The management is looking for tenants such as e.g IT companies, law firms with a need of spaces from as small as 155 sqm,”, notes Richard Teichmann managing partner for the CEE region at Bischoff & Compagnons.

“Bischoff & Compagnons aims at incorporating these aspects in all levels not just during the planning and construction phase but also in the everyday use of the building. For example, the design of staircases is highly important for us because we want them to be light and comfortable for tenants who wish to use stairs instead of elevators. We also always focus on adding as much daylight and sun protection as possible and that is reflected also at the Alphagon office building”, said Richard Teichmann.

The soft factors of designing a commercial real estate asset are also part of the European planning method because in Central European city centres mid-sized buildings can be integrated into their environment successfully. “Preserving the values of our cities of great importance at Bischoff and Compagnons,” added Richard Teichmann.

Bischoff & Compagnons conceptualizes, develops and implements real estate investments, both independently and in partnership with other firms. The company focuses on the commercial real estate sector, in the area of offices, hotels, and small businesses. Its regional focus is primarily on the German and Austrian markets, but its reach extends to the neighbouring central European countries as well. In addition to the headquarters in Berlin, the company has branches in Vienna, Budapest, and Bratislava. The Budapest office was founded in 1999.
