Amazon continues to invest in Poland and will create over 1,000 new permanent jobs in Swiebodzin within a year of opening. Its tenth facility in Poland will include advanced Amazon Robotics technology, with 3,000 robotic drive units supporting the company’s associates.


Amazon has confirmed its plans for a 193,000 sqm Fulfillment Center in Świebodzin. This is the company’s tenth investment in Poland and its first in the Lubuskie region. Last year, Amazon launched operations at two new sites in the country – in Gliwice and in Łódź, bringing its total permanent workforce in the country to 18,000.

This new investment will add more than 1,000 new jobs to Amazon’s existing network in Poland. Employees hired at the new Amazon facility will pick, pack and ship small items such as books, electronics and consumer goods to customers. Associates will work alongside innovative technologies, including 3,000 Amazon Robotics drive units which will be used to help fulfill customer orders. These specialized robots slide under shelves stocked with products, lift them and move them around the Fulfillment Center, helping speed up order processing times and enabling both a better associate and customer experience. This will be Amazon’s third robotics facility in Poland, joining those already opened in Kolbaskowo near Szczecin and Gliwice.

Amazon has been operating in Poland since 2014 and has 9 Fulfillment Centers in Sady near Poznań, Sosnowiec, Kołbaskowo near Szczecin, Bielany Wrocławskie (where two facilities are located), Pawlikowice near Łódź, Łódź, Okmiany near Boleslawiec and Gliwice, and at its Development Centre in Gdańsk and corporate and Amazon Web Services offices in Warsaw.

New appointments

  • Panattoni has promoted Nick Cripps to the position of Head of International Capital Markets for Europe, the UK, the Middle East, and India. Based in London, Cripps is tasked with leading the firm’s global capital markets strategy across 18 diverse markets. He joined Panattoni five years ago as Head of UK Capital Markets.
  • PSN has expanded its acquisitions team with the arrival of Martin Šrytr as Business Development Manager. Most recently, he served as Real Estate Expansion Manager at Twistcafe Group, supporting the company’s EMEA growth. His previous experience includes consulting at Cushman & Wakefield, advisory roles at Prochazka & Partners, and management positions within IWG.
