Accor is expanding its portfolio in South-East Europe with the signing of Swissôtel Kopaonik in Serbia. In partnership with KOP2020 DOO, the premium hotel brand will welcome its first guests just in time for the 2024-2025 winter season.

Swissôtel Kopaonik will be located in the country’s largest and well-known ski resort, Kopaonik, stretching up to the Pančić peak at 2017 metres, often called “the Roof of Serbia”. The newly built property will offer 175 modern and comfortable guestrooms, a selection of restaurants, a cigar bar, a spa & wellness area, business space and a ski room, providing guests with a truly magnificent experience. Conveniently located in the very centre of Kopaonik, next to the ski centre and within walking distance to the ski lifts, the new Swissôtel will be a welcome addition to the spectacular mountain landscape.

"Serbia is one of the hidden gems of South-Eastern Europe. With incredible nature and culture, it is a treasure to be discovered by locals and travellers from all over Europe. At the same time, Kopaonik is a beloved destination for Serbian ski lovers looking for new premium services. We are delighted to bring the Swissôtel brand to this spectacular destination providing guests with a truly first-rate experience thanks to the hotel’s location, luxurious design, and commitment to its natural environment. The breathtaking scenery combined with Swissôtel’s contemporary vitality ethos will bring a new quality experience for travellers visiting Kopaonik” said Dilek Sezer, Development Director – South Eastern Europe at Accor.

"The choice of Accor as our partner was based on the complex offer of internationally recognized brands and the highest operational standards. Cooperation with the global hospitality leader gives us incredible opportunities for the development of premium hotel services in Serbia. We strongly believe that by providing guests with the luxury standard, many new travellers will decide to discover Serbia’s incredible nature and culture,” said Momčilo Djuričić from KOP2020 DOO.

Kopaonik offers tourists a range of winter and summer activities such as skiing, hiking and climbing, mountain biking, paragliding, thermal wellness SPA, rafting on the Ibar River, as well as activities for MICE travellers. With its subalpine climate, it is often called “the Mountain of the Sun”, with 200 sunny days per year and “the Silver mountain”, with 159 days of snow per winter. Besides leisure, Kopaonik is also a MICE destination where every March, the resort hosts the Kopaonik Business Forum, a high-profile event under the patronage of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, which attracts a growing number of participants from around the region.

The resort is well-connected with the main transport routes in Serbia, being linked with the Ibar highway. The property is located just two hours from the International Airport Niš and four hours from the Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport.
