Hospitality group Accor and Romanian construction firm Construcții Erbașu have signed hotel management agreements for two new hotels in Bucharest and Oradea. The companies have also extended the current management agreement for ibis Styles Bucharest Erbas.


 

Construction started in Q3 2023 for a 150-room hotel in Bucharest that will be delivered in June 2025. The new Novotel Living Baneasa includes an all-day dining area, a “cinema” room, modular meeting space, a fitness room and a large parking space.The hotel will be based near Băneasa Shopping City in northern Bucharest.

In Oradea, Construcții Erbașu will start the construction of a 120-room ibis Styles hotel. The development will kick off in early 2024 and will be delivered in 2026.

Furthermore, the companies have extended the management contract of ibis Styles Bucharest Erbas by 2033.

"Today’s announcement marks the growth of our hospitality portfolio and reinforces the pledge we made five years ago, when we launched ibis Styles Bucharest Erbas,” said Cristian Erbașu, CEO of Construcții Erbașu.

The construction firm has completed over 1,000 projects in the past 33 years and posted a turnover of €220 million in 2022.

New appointments

  • PSN has expanded its acquisitions team with the arrival of Martin Šrytr as Business Development Manager. Most recently, he served as Real Estate Expansion Manager at Twistcafe Group, supporting the company’s EMEA growth. His previous experience includes consulting at Cushman & Wakefield, advisory roles at Prochazka & Partners, and management positions within IWG.
  • iO Partners has announced key leadership changes within its Czech Republic operations as part of its ongoing business evolution. Milan Kilik has been appointed as the new Head of Office Leasing, with a particular focus on client advisory and team collaboration. Concurrently, Petr Kareš has transitioned into the role of Occupier Business Development Director. In this new capacity, he will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities and integrating services across Tenant Representation, Project Management, and Industrial Leasing.
  • Romanian office developer Genesis Property has appointed Cătălin Niculiță as Leasing Manager. With nearly 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, he has held leadership roles at real estate companies such as Atenor, collaborating with major office tenants in the banking, telecom, and IT sectors.
