John Fekete has been working in the real estate and facilities field for the last 20+ years throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa. In his current position with Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) he is responsible for the real estate portfolio, facilities management , project management, security, shared services, travel and leasing and licensing. John is also a member at ADIB of the Committee for Sustainability and Social Responsibility at ADIB and a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. Previous to joining ADIB, John was head of Real Estate and Facilities for EMEA for Citigroup. John was responsible for the real estate transactions, project management, facility management and sustainability policy of over 540 locations with an annual operating budget in excess of 500 million USD. The portfolio included locations as diverse as Citi’s European Headquarters in Canary Wharf, London, data centers in Germany and Poland and large office and retail networks in Europe, Russia, the UAE, Egypt, Nigeria, South Africa and Pakistan. John is originally from Seattle, Washington and has lived for extended periods in Budapest, Hungary and Moscow, Russia. He has currently lived in Dubai, UAE with his wife and 4 children for the last seven years. John has also previously worked in various positions for Colliers International , Jones Lang LaSalle and Regus in Central and Eastern Europe prior to his joining Citigroup in 2003.
