His mandate has also included the development of Iași Industrial Park, the first industrial park managed by the Iași County Council, as well as the implementation of the county’s Integrated Waste Management System. In his second term, Costel Alexe continues to prioritise transport connectivity, healthcare infrastructure, education and support for the local economy, with the wider ambition of strengthening Iași as a regional growth hub and an important gateway between Romania and the European Union, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.
