Angeliki Varela is an investment and strategy professional with over 15 years of experience at the intersection of policy, finance, and governance. She currently leads international investment engagement at the Kyiv School of Economics Institute, where she focuses on mobilizing private capital for Ukraine’s recovery and integration into European markets. She also works on designing blended-finance and de-risking mechanisms, connecting Ukrainian businesses with international investors and donors, and helping translate policy priorities into bankable projects across priority sectors. Angeliki holds an MBA with honours from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and an LL.M. from the University of Pennsylvania.
