The Viedenská Road West residential development in Bratislava has received a final decision on the environmental impact assessment in its preparatory phase, allowing the developer, YIT, to proceed with further permitting processes.

The sustainable project is planned in the western part of the Petržalka district, creating a connection between the urban environment and greenery, bringing three semi-closed city blocks with variable heights from four to seven floors.

The apartment buildings will be constructed on two floors of underground garages and will be complemented by six retail units. The developer plans to build modern playgrounds and recreational areas designed for all age groups – children, teenagers, adults and seniors. Community gardens and relaxation areas will also be included.

“The Viedenská Road residential project is now conceived as a sustainable urban district that will support social inclusion, carbon footprint reduction and ecological forms of transport,” explains Milan Murcko, CEO of YIT Slovakia. The developer expects construction to begin in the second quarter of 2027 and be completed in the third quarter of 2030.
