YIT has included cooperative housing as an important alternative to traditional financing for the purchase of real estate for personal ownership in its residential development strategy. The developer has now entered into cooperation with the Ranta Barrandov IV Housing Cooperative by selling the building with 69 residential units.

YIT will build a residence for the cooperative as part of the fourth stage of the Ranta Barrandov project in Prague 5. Construction began in July of this year and is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2027.

Building C consists of three four-floor towers connected by a common base and an underground parking floor. All apartments, ranging in size from 35 to 115 sqm, will be built to the standards usual for YIT projects.

"We already have experience with construction for housing cooperatives from our previous projects. In the same model, where we build houses for the cooperative and they themselves sell the apartments, we have implemented several buildings in our projects Hyacint Modřany, Suomi Hloubětín, Rivi Bachova and Portti Kladno. We have now concluded such a transaction with the Ranta Barrandov IV Housing Cooperative. Interested parties who, for example, prefer cooperative housing due to problems with obtaining a mortgage, will now have the opportunity to purchase an apartment in this Prague location," says Marek Lokaj, CEO of YIT Stavo.
