The largest private student residence in Poland has just changed ownership. Offering 775 modern accommodation units, Basecamp Wrocław will add to the portfolio of Xior. The price has not been revealed. 


Basecamp Wrocław on Sienkiewicza Street offers 775 accommodation units, comprising both en-suite rooms and comfortable studios with bathrooms and kitchenettes, spread across three buildings. The Wrocław facility is the largest modern private dormitory in Poland in terms of space. The dormitory is also distinguished by a wide range of amenities, including: an externally managed gym, a cinema, shared kitchens, study and recreation rooms, a grocery shop, an Italian restaurant and a delivery service.

The dormitory, which formerly housed the well-known Mamut bakery, has undergone a major expansion, meticulous revitalisation and comprehensive modernisation and was completed in 2022.

The dormitory on Sienkiewicza Street, located within a radius of just two kilometres from campuses with a total of more than 50,000 students, is an excellent investment.   • IF&B Mille Sapori, the importer and distributor of Italian food products in Poland, has leased 4,118 sqm in the MLP Pruszków II complex. The lease deal was brokered by Coldwell Banker Commercial.

Puerta has joined as the operator of the SZAWA conference centre, occupying over 650 sqm of training and event space.   • BearingPoint has relocated its Bucharest office to Vastint’s Timpuri Noi Square, in a deal brokered by Griffes.

New appointments

  • Katarzyna Myjak has joined Axi Immo as Senior Business Advisory Manager, tasked with strengthening the company’s Industrial & Logistics business line.
  • Czech investment group SCF has expanded its team by appointing Jan Simandl as Senior Leasing Team Leader. In this role, Simandl will oversee leasing activities across the company’s commercial property portfolio. He previously worked for CPI Property Group and CBRE.
  • Michał Kochanowski-Laren has joined Avison Young Poland’s Technical Advisory and Project Management team as Project Manager. In his new role, he is responsible for delivering a variety of consultancy projects across all segments of the commercial real estate market in Poland. Kochanowski-Laren is an electrical engineer and a graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology.
