Wind power to flow from Western Pomerania in Poland

Wind power, which accounts for approximately 2% of total electricity supply, is at the global forefront of green solutions and growing well ahead of traditional energy technologies and other renewable energy sources. One of the most prospective regions in Poland for this sector is Western Pomerania. According to the latest report from global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield, this region is already seeing professional large-scale wind farms being established and is a clear leader in terms of economic potential for wind power with 14,000 MW, 40% ahead of Pomerania and Lower Silesia.

Premier Energy acquires wind farms in Romania for €13 million

The energy group Premier Energy has bought new projects in Romania with a capacity of approximately 41 megawatts, for which it paid €13 million. After completing all acquisitions and planned developments there, it will own or manage 700 megawatts of renewable energy, Pavel Zuna, a spokesman for Emma Capital, Premier Energy's parent company, told E15.

Panattoni gives second life to used wind turbines

Panattoni is supporting the upcycling of the machinery used to generate green energy. In 15 of the developer’s locations, environmentally-friendly outdoor furniture can be found, made from former wind turbines. In 2023, similar furniture is to appear in another 100 locations.

New leases

  • In April this year, the House brand joined the group of tenants at CH Korona in Wrocław. The salon occupies nearly 285 sqm of sales space.
  • 18 Gym Fitness & Beauty will open a new location within Agora Arad (the former Galleria Arad) in a deal brokered by the Cushman & Wakefield Echinox. Agora Arad has a leasable area of 36,000 sqm and is currently undergoing a major refurbishment.
  • Transport company Zadbano has become a new tenant at LCube Rzeszów Airport. The company has taken 1.3 thousand sqm of warehouse space in Building 2, which was completed last year.

New appointments

  • Emilia Dębowska has been promoted to the position of Head of Sustainability Europe of Panattoni. In her new role, she will be responsible for Panattoni’s integrated sustainable development strategy encompassing both the company’s business goals and the development of its projects in Europe for every country in which the developer is active.
  • Crosspoint Real Estate has appointed Oana Popescu as Partner. She has joined the Crosspoint team in the summer of 2017 and took over the lead of the residential department in 2022.
  • Urszula Sekuła has joined the Retail Institute team as Business Development Director. She will be responsible for business development in Poland and three European markets.
