SPAR to expand logistics centre to 20,000 sqm at MLP Czeladź
Food retailer SPAR will expand its logistics centre in Czeladź. The facility at MLP Czeladź will be placed in service later this year. Currently, SPAR occupies an area of 8,800 sqm used as a warehouse, cold and freezing rooms, office and staff amenity space. The SPAR logistics centre will be expanded by another 11,200 sqm, the vast majority of which will be used for warehousing, cold storage and freezing purposes. An additional facility will be dedicated to a modern office, which will be expanded by 250 sqm. This phase is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2022.

Spar expands and renovates in Hungary
Retail chain Spar built new supermarkets in a Budapest residential park and in a frequented district of Sopron, and modernised its stores in Mosonmagyaróvár and Szentlőrinc.

Appeninn continues property acquisitions in Hungary
Appeninn Nyrt. announced the purchase of a historic building in the centre of Budapest for €7 million through the acquisition of holding company Plaza House. Dávid House, located on Andrássy Road and formerly known as Andrássy Palace, has 2400 sqm GLA. It was transformed into a Class A office building in 2001.

New leases
- Griffes has announced the leasing of 6,000 sqm of office space in Bucharest-based Unirii View. Out of the total volume, 2,000 sqm represent new tenants joining the tenant roster, while three tenants expanded operations and grew their space take-up in the building.
- The first Gorąco Polecam store in Lubin has opened at BIG Lubin retail park. The new 151 sqm unit is in a newly designed development building featuring a large 160 sqm patio.
- Worldbox has entered the Romanian market with its first store at Scallier's Funshop Park in Vaslui. The multi-brand store covers more than 660 sqm and offers clothing, footwear and accessories in the casual and sportswear segment.

- Balázs Kun has joined Avison Young Hungary as Director, Industrial, Land & Development. He brings over 5 years of experience in the Hungarian real estate market, most recently serving at CBRE in the Industrial and Logistics department.
- CBRE Investment Management announced the firm is evolving the leadership model in its EMEA Direct Real Estate business. Under the enhanced structure, Rik Eertink will assume the role of President and CIO of EMEA Direct Real Estate, after serving as President of EMEA Direct Real Estate for the past five years.
- Nhood has appointed Mihaela Petruescu as the new Country Director for Property Services Romania & Poland as of October. She previously held leadership positions at large real estate firms, such as Cushman & Wakefield Echinox and CBRE Romania.
