CTP acquires 28,500 sqm warehouse and land in Belgrade

CTP is expanding its industrial park north of the Serbian capital, CTPark Belgrade North, following the purchase of a 28,500 sqm warehouse and adjacent land for further development from Austrian-based real estate developer Eyemaxx. As a result, the overall capacity of CTPark Belgrade North now stands at 50,000 sqm, with the landbank enabling to achieve about 115,000 sqm of leaseable space at the location.

Delta to invest €130 million in Belgrade mixed-use project

Delta Real Estate has secured the resources and the technical documentation for the construction of the Delta Center business complex in New Belgrade. The complex will include the 26,000 sqm Hotel InterContinental Beograd, in addition to 26,000 sqm of office space. Immofinanz acquires eight retail parks in CEE

Immofinanz is continuing the expansion of its Stop Shop retail park brand, as announced, and has added eight locations to the portfolio shortly before the end of the year. Six fully rented retail parks in Serbia and the Czech Republic with roughly 43,000 sqm were purchased from Mitiska REIM, a Belgian investor specialised in these types of commercial properties. In addition, Immofinanz closed the purchase of a fully rented retail park (approx. 5,500 sqm) in Voitsberg, Austria, during the fourth quarter of 2020. The portfolio in Croatia will be increased by one property in the city of Ludbreg.

Delta Holding buys Belgrade’s Sava Center

Delta Holding has acquired the 29,374 sqm Sava Center congress complex in Belgrade. After several attempts by the City of Belgrade to sell the property, Delta Holding confirmed that it is willing to accept the latest €17.5 million price plus the €50 million of obligatory investment. According to the estimates of foreign consultants hired by Delta, the investment for the renovation of Sava Center will be more than €60 million.

New leases

  • The Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines has moved to Bucharest-based SkyTower, operating out of a 580 sqm space under a 5-year lease agreement. The building also hosts the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Romania.
  • De Heus, a producer of animal feed, which has built a strong presence in the Polish market, has leased 7,050 sqm of warehouse and office space at GLP Łódź III Logistics Centre. This is the first Class A warehouse of De Heus in Poland. The tenant was advised by specialists from Newmark Polska during the search for the right space and throughout the lease negotiations.
  • Endava has leased an additional 2,400 sqm in the UBC 1 building, part of the Palas Iași mixed-use complex owned by Iulius. This expansion brings its total office area to 5,500 sqm.

New appointments

  • MLP Group strengthened its management structures. Maciej Müldner, a manager with over 30 years of experience in finance at international corporations and banks, joins the Management Board. He will be responsible for further strengthening the Group’s financial position.
  • Indotek Group has welcomed Viktor Nagy, who joined us in September as Head of Non-Retail Sales. With more than 20 years of experience in the real estate sector, Viktor has held leadership positions at international companies such as Immofinanz, EHL Real Estate Hungary and Atlas Estates. In his new role, he will be responsible for further developing our non-retail sales strategy and strengthening international relations.
  • Paweł Reszczyński has been promoted to Land Development Director and will be responsible for coordinating land acquisition and investment processes for new logistics and industrial projects. Developing the land bank remains a key pillar of MLP Group's long-term expansion strategy.
