Nhood has completed the sale of eight retail shopping centres in Poland on behalf of Ceetrus and Auchan to Adventum Group for an undisclosed sum.

The active entertainment component within shopping malls in Romania was valued at €28-30 million in 2024, excluding competitive socialising venues such as bowling and billiards, which are also growing rapidly. This represents almost three times the market size compared to 2019, finds a study by Nhood Romnaia.

Nhood Romania has expanded its partnership with Urbano Group to take over full integrated property management of Urbano Shopping & Living, Transylvania's largest retail park located in the Cluj metropolitan area.

Nhood Romania has announced a partnership with Reuben Brothers to transform the former Solventul industrial platform in Timisoara. The 45-hectare site, with a history dating back to 1869, will be converted into a primarily residential area with integrated retail, office, service, and public amenities.

Linklaters has advised Nhood and Ceetrus on their partnership with Apsys, which aims to transform the commercial market in Poland by initiating innovative and sustainable development projects. Their first cooperation will be Wilanów Park shopping centre in Warsaw. 

Agnieszka Gutowska, Head of Brand Marketing & Communication at Nhood Services Poland has talked to Property Forum about the implementation of the ESG principles in the new retail projects, the costs of modernization of the older ones and the approach of the tenants to the ‘new green deal’.

Negotiations with Indotek Group have resulted in the sale of 100% of the Hungarian activities of Nhood Services and Ceetrus Hungary to the Hungarian investment group, Nhood Hungary announced. It also confirmed that with this transaction Indotek has acquired a 47% stake in Auchan's Hungarian retail operations. Auchan has an extensive Hungarian network of 19 hypermarkets, 5 supermarkets, and 18 petrol stations.

New Immo Holding, which brings together the real estate activities of the Mulliez Family Association, has recorded gross revenues of €304.5 million during H1 2023, up 7% compared to the same period of last year, while the rental income rose by 2.6%. 

The retail market in Romania is set to expand by more than 500,000 sqm in the next four years, with 10 of the projects in the pipeline each having more than 10,000 sqm, according to  Cushman & Wakefield Echinox. 

Austrian furniture retailer Mömax will develop a new store on a land of 37,000 sqm located in Cartier Coresi – the mixed-use scheme developed by Ceetrus and managed by Nhood Romania in Brașov.
