Recent global turmoil has, however, disrupted supply chains, revealing the length and complexity of processes enabling the sourcing, transport and consumption of various products. Czech Republic remains Europe’s best manufacturing destination

Thanks to a good score in all criteria such as operating costs, labour, political and economic risk and the ability to bounce back after the coronavirus crisis, the country came fifth globally and first in Europe. Since 2016 when the Czech Republic was included in Cushman & Wakefield’s Manufacturing Risk Index for the first time, it has been ranked among the best manufacturing destinations on a regular basis.

New leases

  • DP World has signed a 10-year lease for 700 sqm of office space in One Cotroceni Park, in a deal brokered by CBRE.
  • Xtreme Fitness Gyms joins the group of service sector tenants who have signed a contract at the retail park under development by Redkom Development in Bielsko-Biała. The gym and fitness club will occupy an area of over 800 sqm.
  • In Warsaw's Norblin Factory, the only stationary Answear.com concept store in Europe started its activity. On the area of 2,000 sqm, the customers will find an offer of premium fashion brands, which so far were available only online.

New appointments

  • STERENN, a consultancy firm specializing in hospitality market entry and real estate asset sourcing, proudly announces the addition of Bryan Wilson to its Advisory Board. Bryan Wilson brings a wealth of expertise in real estate transactions, particularly within the hospitality sector. He co-founded Wilsons, a prominent law firm in Prague, and is a UK-registered lawyer and now heads up the CEE region for DUAL Asset, transactional risk insurers.
  • MLP Group’s management team has added new members - Katarzyna Misztal (Leasing Manager), Paweł Reszczyński (Senior Land Acquisition Manager), Zuzanna Pukaluk , Mateusz Sobczak (both a Project Managers) and Szymon Grochowski ( Land Acquisition Manager). In their new roles, they will be entrusted with land acquisition and preparation for upcoming projects, oversight over construction and project work, space commercialisation and tenant relationships.
  • Zuzanna Paciorkiewicz, PhD, has been appointed as Head of Asset Services CEE at Cushman & Wakefield following her tenure as Co-Head with Ondřej Fukal.
