KGAL to be a climate-neutral asset manager by 2021

As part of a new climate strategy, one of the leading German asset managers is also targeting net-zero emission portfolio by 2050 – German investment manager KGAL has committed to becoming a climate-neutral company by the beginning of 2021 by offsetting all greenhouse gas emissions connected to its operations. Emissions calculated per employee will be reduced by 5% annually during the next 10 years. It has also pledged to have a net-zero emission investment portfolio by 2050. The targets are set out in the company’s newly announced climate strategy.

The acquisition of the Prosta Office Centre (POC) from Cromwell Property Group follows the 2018 purchase of the Spark office complex. Both assets were acquired for a Europe-wide special real estate AIF.

KGAL acquires first Czech asset

KGAL has acquired the DRN office building in Prague for a pan-European special real estate Alternative Investment Fund (AIF). The purchase is in line with KGAL’s strategy of Europe-wide diversification across prime locations, and is its first investment in the Czech Republic. The fund now holds properties in Germany, Austria, Ireland, Hungary, the Netherlands, Poland and the Czech Republic.

Skanska sells Warsaw building to KGAL for €48 million

Europa Capital sells its Budapest office portfolio for €60 million

Europa Capital has concluded the sale of a portfolio comprising two city centre office buildings in Budapest with a total floor area of approximately 26,000 sqm. KGAL, a European asset and investment manager, acquired the Kálvin Square and CityZen assets on behalf of institutional investors. The combined price for the portfolio is approximately €60 million. The property management will be carried out by KGAL´s local partner ConvergenCE.

New leases

  • CTP has welcomed the first tenant to CTPark Holubice, near Brno. Kuehne+Nagel has opened a modern distribution centre with a total area of more than 7,100 sqm, providing logistics services to clients in the Czech Republic and neighbouring countries.
  • Mindspace, a global operator of flexible office spaces, has signed a long-term lease agreement with Karimpol Polska for nearly 4,500 sqm of space in the Warsaw-based Skyliner II. Mindspace was advised by Gide Loyrette Nouel law firm, while Argon Legal provided legal advice to Karimpol.
  • Sygnity will take over new office space in Building B of the West Forum complex in Wrocław. The tenant, which has been present at the site for nearly 20 years, has opted to relocate within the development and sign a new long-term lease agreement. Sygnity was represented in the transaction by Patron Brokers, while BNM Real Estate serves as the exclusive agent for West Forum.

New appointments

  • CTP Romania has appointed Diane-Monique Forrest as Business Developer. She will focus on leasing activities in Transylvania, covering key cities such as Timișoara, Arad, Sibiu, and Deva.
  • iO Partners has announced the appointment of Róbert Cesnek as Head of Capital Markets in Slovakia, effective from January 2026. In his new role, he will focus on further strengthening market presence, advising clients on complex investment decisions and delivering high-impact transactions across asset classes.
  • Mateusz Sobczak has joined Scallier’s operations in Poland as Project Manager within the Development Department. Sobczak is an experienced engineer with 15 years of professional practice in project management within the commercial real estate sector. Throughout his career to date, he has collaborated with leading logistics developers, including the MLP Group and 7R.
