Austrian property giant Signa files for insolvency over financial issues

Signa, one of the largest real estate holdings in Austria, said it would file for insolvency on Thursday in Vienna, after one of its subsidiaries took a similar step earlier in Germany.

New leases

  • Strategy has extended its lease agreement for office space in the Skyliner office building in Warsaw, part of the Karimpol Group's portfolio. Strategy occupies 1,500 sqm of office space on the 22nd floor of Skyliner I and was the building's first tenant.
  • Hesburger has opened a new restaurant spanning 223 sqm in Cosmopolis, near Bucharest, following a €1 million investment.
  • TriGranit has signed a lease agreement with Rolling Wireless for more than 1,500 sqm of office space at Bartók Ház in Budapest. As a result of the long-term lease extension and expansion, Rolling Wireless has become the second-largest tenant in the building.

New appointments

  • CTP Romania has named Bianca Liulea-Stamate as Marketing Specialist. She has previously worked at DB Schenker for more than seven years.
  • Věra Hordóssyová has joined GARBE Group as Account and Financial Manager. She brings over 20 years of experience in finance and accounting, having held roles such as Chief Accountant and Financial Controller.
  • Krzysztof Szargawiński has joined Avison Young Poland’s Office Agency team as an Associate Director. In his new role, Krzysztof will be responsible for leading the department’s projects in the Wrocław region. He brings over 20 years of experience in the Polish commercial real estate market, gained primarily in Wrocław, Warsaw, and Katowice.
