Dino Polska was opening one store a day in H1 2021

In H1 2021 Dino Polska, a grocery store network continued its geographic expansion. Its store count climbed by 150 in this period to 1,622. That means that save for Sundays a new Dino store was opened in Poland every single day. At the same time, Dino Polska created 2.4 thousand new jobs and at the end of June it had more than 28.2 thousand employees.

51 new Dino stores opened in Poland in Q1 2021

At the end of March 2021 the Dino network numbered 1,532 stores, up 298 versus March 2020. 59 new stores were opened in Q1 2021. The EBITDA margin in Q1 2021 was 8.8%, i.e. 0.2 percentage points above the corresponding period of 2020.

Good first quarter of 2021 for Dino retail network

Dino Polska opened 59 new stores in the first quarter of this year, compared to 16 y/y. At the end of March 2021, the chain consists of 1,532 stores, compared to 1,234 a year earlier.

New leases

  • Lighting solutions provider Luxiona has secured 430 sqm of office space at the Warsaw-based Greenwings Offices complex. The site will serve as the company's Polish HQ and a dedicated showroom for its lighting range. Axi Immo represented the tenant in the transaction.
  • Stokado, Poland’s second-largest self-storage operator, has launched its second facility in Warsaw’s Bemowo district. The site offers over 4,800 sqm of net leasable area across approximately 950 storage units.
  • The EYEmova ophthalmology and training center has joined the tenant roster at Soho by Yareal in Warsaw’s Kamionek district, occupying over 500 sqm. The opening of the EYEmova center in Praga-Południe is scheduled for June this year.

New appointments

  • Krzysztof Wróblewski (MRICS) has been named Head of Portfolio Management CEE at Peakside Capital Advisors, responsible for overseeing investments and managing the real estate portfolio. He succeeds Christopher Smith in this role.
  • Garbe Industrial is reorganising its senior leadership team. CEO Christopher Garbe will now focus on strategic orientation and international activities. Jan Philipp Daun assumes leadership of the Development division alongside his existing Investment and Joint Venture responsibilities. Andrea Agrusow expands her remit to include Portfolio Management while retaining control of Commercial and Real Estate Management. Additionally, Michael Marcinek and Maik Zeranski will now jointly head the restructured Development unit as Management Board Members, succeeding Adrian Zellner.
  • CPI Property Group is strengthening its leasing structure with the appointment of Agnieszka Baczyńska as Head of Leasing. In her new role, she will be responsible for shaping and executing the leasing strategy across the group’s office and retail portfolio in Poland. At the same time, Izabela Potrykus has been appointed Leasing Office Director. Baczyńska brings more than 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate market. Prior to joining CPI Property Group in 2022, she served as International Leasing Director at Neinver Polska.
