StudentSpace, a student housing platform operating in Poland and the Czech Republic, has secured financing for three new private dormitory projects in Kraków. The company plans to deliver more than 1,200 beds across these developments in the next two years.
The financing was provided by Bank Pekao S.A. for the first two projects, which are already under construction, with completion expected in 2026. These two buildings, located on Łowińskiego Street in the Prądnik Czerwony district and Koszykarska Street in Podgórze, will offer 700 beds in total. The third project, currently in the final planning phase, will add a further 500 beds.
“This financing confirms the strength of the student housing sector in Poland and shows growing interest from institutional lenders. We are focused on delivering modern, professionally managed dormitories that address the ongoing shortage of student accommodation in Kraków,” said Piotr Baran, co-founder of StudentSpace.
StudentSpace operates four student housing facilities in Kraków and Prague, managing over 1,000 beds. With these new projects, the company will nearly double its portfolio, responding to strong demand in a city with over 130,000 students and limited purpose-built student housing supply.
