Sales of houses, land, and apartments in January were almost 40% higher than the same month last year, according to the Romanian National Agency for Cadastre and Land Registration (ANCPI).

48,736 properties were traded in the first month of the year, 13,505 more than in the same month last year. The figures show that the Romanians' appetite for properties is constantly growing, after December last year saw an increase of almost 30% compared to December 2019.
