RICS presented its new Board of Members in the Czech Republic, who will operate under the chairmanship of William Bucknell MRICS, Managing Director of Flow East Real Estate, one of the largest private investors in the Czech Republic.


William is renewing his commitment as chair following a new selection process RICS would like to thank the outgoing board members, Jaroslav Kaizr MRICS, Karel Klecka MRICS and Marcel Kolesar MRICS who had come to the end of their statutory terms that they could act for. They have been instrumental in helping to form associations and shape RICS in the Czech Republic over the last three years.
 
With this appointment, RICS finalises its selection process and completes the Board that will represent the profession of “chartered surveyors” in the Czech Republic. The Board is composed of highly qualified professionals recognised in the market by their integrity, ethical behaviour and experience in a variety of disciplines across the property sector.

Building on previous years’ achievements, we will continue working on making sure that the professional and ethical standards to which RICS professionals work, are demanded. Adoption of these professional standards create confidence in local markets, for the benefit of all parties involved. Following successful cooperation with the Czech Banking Association and the Developers Association, we will explore strategic partnership opportunities with other like-minded bodies whose commitment to professionalism matches our own,” Anna Orcsik, Regional Manager for Central & Eastern Europe at RICS commented.
 
“Equipping young professionals in our sector with skills and knowledge fit for the 21st century will be high on the agenda of the new board. We will also aim to work closer with those employers who are aware of the changing face of our sector and seek a joined-up commitment to offer their people the opportunity to become well-prepared for new global and local challenges. We will promote to the different stakeholders the increased value that the organisation brings to their members by offering, for example, a worldwide recognised qualification and a wide range of learning and networking opportunities,” William Bucknell MRICS, Chair of the RICS Board in the Czech Republic added.
 
RICS’s new Board of Members in the Czech Republic include Stefan de Goeij MRICS, Head of Property Management Department at CTP, Josef Krautman, DBA, MSc, MRICS, Head of Tenant Representation Services at Cushman & Wakefield, Robert Neale FRICS, Managing Director / Owner of Portland Trust, and Žofia Pažitná MSc MRICS, Project Manager at Skanska Property Czech Republic.

  • Vastint Romania secured its first tenant for Bucharest-based Timpuri Noi Square Phase 2, signing SCOR for 3,250 sqm. The transaction, brokered by CBRE, facilitates SCOR’s expansion within Vastint’s local portfolio. The company has previously leased 2,320 sqm in Business Garden Bucharest.

New appointments

  • Katarzyna Myjak has joined Axi Immo as Senior Business Advisory Manager, tasked with strengthening the company’s Industrial & Logistics business line.
  • Czech investment group SCF has expanded its team by appointing Jan Simandl as Senior Leasing Team Leader. In this role, Simandl will oversee leasing activities across the company’s commercial property portfolio. He previously worked for CPI Property Group and CBRE.
  • Michał Kochanowski-Laren has joined Avison Young Poland’s Technical Advisory and Project Management team as Project Manager. In his new role, he is responsible for delivering a variety of consultancy projects across all segments of the commercial real estate market in Poland. Kochanowski-Laren is an electrical engineer and a graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology.
