Ozimska Park, a 17,000 sqm GLA facility built in Opole by Redkom Development and delivered in November 2023, has been sold. The new owner is Newgate Investment, which is successively expanding its portfolio of retail properties. It currently includes 33 projects located in various Polish cities. The price has not been disclosed.

This is the third sale transaction made by Redkom Development in 2024. Previously, the company sold Park Glinianka (over 10,000 sqm GLA) built in Łubna near Warsaw, which opened in March 2023. Park Glinianka (currently BIG Łubna) was transferred to the portfolio of the BIG Poland group. A retail park under development in Bielsko-Biała (Comfy Park Bielsko) with a GLA of over 17,000 sqm was also sold, which will open later this year. The facility will expand the portfolio of the Comfy Park brand introduced to the Polish market by Newgate Investment.

"Redkom, as an active developer, builds unique and large retail parks. Ozimska Park fits into our strategy not only in terms of scale but also environmental protection and city-forming elements. Ozimska Park is a successful example of converting an old, inefficient retail facility into a modern retail park. In 2023, we delivered 27,000 sqm of GLA, this year it will be Comfy Park Bielik in Bielsko-Biała, i.e. a total of approx. 45,000 sqm GLA in these 2 years. All these facilities are already in the hands of new investors. We are pleased that another commercial property from our portfolio has entered the Newgate Investment portfolio. It is important that the created facility and our tenants, and therefore their business, remain with an experienced and caring partner for years to come. Ozimska Park is an exceptional retail property due to its central location in the city, carefully selected, diverse mix of tenants, and the special aesthetics of the buildings," said Łukasz Komierowski, CEO of Redkom Development.

“This is another facility in a dominant retail location that we are acquiring for our portfolio”, says Krystian Modrzejewski, Chief Investment Officer, who is responsible for expanding Newgate Investment's portfolio. “Ozimska Park Opole is home to shops of recognized brands that residents of the city and the surrounding area will not find in any other retail destination in Opole or the entire Opole region. These include Woolworth's, Dealz, Carry or Jula shops. Our facilities provide added value for the city and its residents, as well as for tenants and investors by delivering an exceptional retail and service offer to local markets”, notes Krystian Modrzejewski.

On 17,000 sqm of retail space, there are 28 retail and service units, along with a Kaufland grocery store. There is also free parking for almost five hundred cars and a charging station for electric vehicles.
