Quantum Real has begun construction of Quantum Gliwice, a logistics park located directly alongside the A4 motorway, approximately 3 km from the Sośnica interchange where the A1 and A4 cross. The first phase will deliver over 43,000 sqm of warehouse space, including a speculative Class A section, with the facility expandable to more than 60,000 sqm. Completion is scheduled for the first quarter of 2027. The project is being delivered jointly with LCube, with Adamietz Construction serving as general contractor.
"The Silesian Voivodeship is currently the second-largest warehouse market in Poland and the one where tenants lease the most space in the country. In the first half of the year, they contracted over 600,000 square metres here," said Marek Witkowski, member of the management board of Quantum Real. "For Gliwice and the region, the project means around 200 new jobs, tax revenue for the city budget and orders for local companies as early as the construction stage."
Paweł Staszel, plenipotentiary of the Mayor of Gliwice for entrepreneurs, also commented at the ceremony. "Every investor knows that preparing the investment process is lengthy and demanding. It is all the more gratifying that we are now at the point where Quantum Real is entering a very important phase of delivery. This is also further proof of how important Gliwice is on the logistics map," he said.
The park's first tenant is North Coast, a distributor of food products from Italy and the Mediterranean region operating since 1992. The company requires cold storage and freezer facilities with separate temperature zones, as well as space for logistics and production. "We design with our tenants' operating costs in mind, which is why we treat energy-saving solutions as part of the building's structure rather than an add-on," Witkowski added.
The facility has a building permit and secured financing. Quantum Gliwice is the first project by Quantum Real, which focuses on logistics and industrial developments in locations with direct access to motorway interchanges and established distribution routes. The park is being developed in line with sustainability principles, with an emphasis on reducing energy consumption and minimising environmental impact.
