Pavăl Holding, owned by Romanian Pavăl brothers, and Lithuanian hospitality group Apex Alliance, have jointly purchased Waldhaus Flims Wellness Resort, 5-star hotel complex in Switzerland.

The reopening of the hotel is planned for next year following a refurbishment, according to a statement from local authorities in Flims.

This is the holding's second high-profile international investment, after acquiring the historic Grand Hotel Gardone, in Italy, in 2023. Meanwhile, Apex Alliance will expand its portfolio to 17 hotels across Europe.

“As long-term investors, we greatly appreciate the historical significance of the property and its breathtaking natural surroundings. Our goal is to preserve these unique elements while carefully renewing the resort to offer our future guests an outstanding experience, always respecting the hotel’s roots and its importance to the region,” says Dragoș Pavăl, President of Pavăl Holding.

Vytautas Drumelis, Partner at Apex Alliance, added that the company aims to turn the resort into the luxury flagship hotel of the region.

Apex Alliance Hotel Management has been announced as the official hotel operator. The company’s portfolio will include 19 hotels by Q1 2025, with two new hotels set to open in Venice (Italy) and Tallinn (Estonia).

CBRE Switzerland assisted the seller in this transaction.
