Industrial developer P3 Logistic Parks has secured leasing contracts for over 98,500 sqm of logistics and office space in Romania during 2022 over higher demand from the retail, logistics and transport sectors.
Of the total leased surface, 88% represented requests from existing customers, who renewed their contracts (54,000 sqm) and extended the surface area of rented premises (33,000 sqm). New customers accounted for 11% of all transactions (11,500 sqm) and short-term contracts totaled 7,500 sqm.
“The market is stabilizing and may not be growing as rapidly as during the pandemic, but there is steady, healthy growth and we are ready to respond confidently to the demands of current and future customers,” said Sînziana Pardhan, Managing Director P3 in Romania.
Logistics companies accounted for half of all new contracts signed in 2022. Companies such as Altex, Acimoda, Yusen and SLS Cargo have extended or expanded their lease in P3 Bucharest A1. The developer also added ALEF Distribution and FAN Courier to its portfolio.
