Property investor Omer Susli has purchased River Plaza Mall in Râmnicu Vâlcea from Sonae Sierra for an undisclosed sum.
Susli has reportedly taken over the firm operating the mall for €1 as well as the receivables for a Sonae Sierra bank loan with €17.2 million left for repayment, according to profit.ro.
The deal came less than one month after Susli’s company purchased Vitantis Shopping Center in Bucharest from Revetas Capital.
River Plaza Mall has a leasable area of 12,358 sqm. It was purchased by Sonae Sierra in 2007 from a local developer for €42 million. The mall has nearly 100 stores and restaurants.
Susli is the founder of interior design store chain Homelux. His property portfolio also includes other retail schemes in smaller cities.
