Berlin-based developer Bischoff & Compagnons is to start a new office development, named Alphagon, in the South Buda area of Budapest. CBRE has been commissioned with the leasing of the property.

Developer Bischoff & Compagnons has decided to construct a new office building in South Buda, at the corner of Dombóvári út and Nádor utca. Construction is about to start and is planned to be finished by Q2 2019.

In recent years the South Buda office market has become one of the fastest growing office submarkets in Budapest, at the end of 2016 only 4 per cent of the offices were vacant, which is less than half of the Budapest vacancy rate (9.5%). The area will remain in the focus of real estate developers in coming years as well with increasing permanent population and growing number of businesses expected in the district.

Investment development company Bischoff & Compagnons Property Networks GmbH was set up in Berlin in 1996 by Jürgen Bischoff. Since 1996 the company has begun or completed projects with a total value of over €1 billion and a total floor space of more than 500,000 sqm. Sizes of projects vary from 2,000 sqm up to 168,000 sqm of floor area. Bischoff & Compagnons mainly specialises in office and hotel projects. Currently, the company has branch offices in Berlin, Vienna, Budapest and Bratislava.
