A new Mercure hotel will open in Brașov at the end of 2025 following an agreement inked by Romanian investment fund Transilvania Investments and the international hospitality group Accor. 


The new hotel will open following a massive transformation process of the building that previously hosted Hotel Capital Brașov. As part of the agreement, the hotel will be open as Mercure Brașov Center.  

The owner of the hotel building was advised by winsedswiss Romania on the selection process for the new operator. 

The renovation works will start at in Q1 2024, said Călin Ilie, President of the Administration Board of Aro Palace, the company controlled by Transilvania Investments. The hotel will feature 181 rooms as well as a restaurant, bar and events hall. The hotel can be easily reached from the train station and the airport.  

Aro Palace is also the owner of the 5-star hotel Aro Palace Brașov, which was inaugurated in 1939.
