Property Forum’s next virtual event, CEE Valuation & Investment Forum 2020, will cover the most burning topics of property investment and valuation. Leading international experts will share their own experiences and best practices related to managing the unprecedented market situation that COVID-19 has created.


The event will feature two presentations by European experts, a panel discussion with leading valuation professionals covering the CEE region and discussion rooms dedicated to individual CEE countries where valuers can discuss the most pressing issues in their local markets in an informal setting.

The event will start with two speeches. Zoltan Szelyes will present a European investment outlook and Christian Luft will summarize the current challenges and opportunities for the valuation profession.

Zoltan Szelyes has started his professional career as Global Real Estate Analyst in Credit Suisse Research, where he built up the global real estate research from scratch and advised PB and AM clients in real estate between 2004 and 2007. In September 2007 he joined the Swiss National Bank as Senior Economist in the Financial Market Analysis Department. In October 2018 he became Member of the executive management of the Swiss National Bank (SNB) Stabilization Fund. Zoltan oversaw the activities of UBS investment management and co-headed asset management. He was part of the successful liquidation of SNB StabFund and concluded the project that delivered a 3.8 bn USD profit for the SNB. In February 2014 Zoltan has re-joined Credit Suisse as Head of the Global Real Estate Research, where he has been responsible for the global real estate outlook and is a key driving force for the real estate market investment market strategy of the international real estate products. Zoltan is Vice Chairman of the INREV Research Committee, a pan European industry association of real estate investment managers and institutional investors. More »

Christian joined Jones Lang LaSalle in October 1998 as a graduate and has gained experience in a wide range of valuation areas. In October 2000 Christian joined Valuation Advisory and specialised in shopping centre valuations and transactional support in both the UK and also across Europe where he successfully established the Pan-EMEA retail valuation business since 2008. Christian leads the Pan-EMEA Valuation business and is responsible for a number of key valuation client mandates, developing and leading best practice across the EMEA Valuation business. Christian is directly responsible for developing expertise and best practice in shopping centre valuations and leads the EMEA Retail Valuation Group. Tim Wilkinson is Partner, Capital Markets Cushman & Wakefield Romania. He joined the office in Bucharest in 2004, and significantly contributed to the development of the business in Romania, predominantly coordinating the advisory services for occupier and landlord clients in the office, retail and industrial sectors, as well as supporting the development of the professional service departments, including valuation, investment, research and property management activities. Tim’s real estate background includes over 17 years of experience in the CEE region, working within the DTZ Poland and Hungary offices, as well as working in the DTZ London office. He has been involved in some of the most pioneering and significant investment deals in Romania over the past 12 years, including the acquisition of Domnesti Business Park (by IOG at the time), Mercury Logistics Park by Heitman, Cefin Logistics Park by Europolis and the joint venture between GE Real Estate and Helios Phoenix. More »

Besides having worked on Germany/Austria/Switzerland as well as CEE, Lukas also gained overseas experience in places such as the Caribbean or the USA. He holds a degree in Tourism Management & Leisure Industry from the University of Applied Sciences IMC Krems as well as a Master of Science in Real Estate from Danube University Krems. New leases

  • mBank, the digital banking company in Poland, has decided to relocate its largest corporate branch in Lower Silesia to the Infinity office building in Wrocław. The company will occupy nearly 1,300 sqm on the fourth floor of the building. The tenant will move into the development owned by Avestus Real Estate and Alchemy Properties in January 2027.
  • GSP Global Solutions Provider has further expanded its cooperation with CTP by leasing an additional nearly 7,000 sqm in CTPark Budapest Vecsés on a long-term basis.
  • Lighting solutions provider Luxiona has secured 430 sqm of office space at the Warsaw-based Greenwings Offices complex. The site will serve as the company's Polish HQ and a dedicated showroom for its lighting range. Axi Immo represented the tenant in the transaction.

New appointments

  • Krzysztof Wróblewski (MRICS) has been named Head of Portfolio Management CEE at Peakside Capital Advisors, responsible for overseeing investments and managing the real estate portfolio. He succeeds Christopher Smith in this role.
  • Garbe Industrial is reorganising its senior leadership team. CEO Christopher Garbe will now focus on strategic orientation and international activities. Jan Philipp Daun assumes leadership of the Development division alongside his existing Investment and Joint Venture responsibilities. Andrea Agrusow expands her remit to include Portfolio Management while retaining control of Commercial and Real Estate Management. Additionally, Michael Marcinek and Maik Zeranski will now jointly head the restructured Development unit as Management Board Members, succeeding Adrian Zellner.
  • CPI Property Group is strengthening its leasing structure with the appointment of Agnieszka Baczyńska as Head of Leasing. In her new role, she will be responsible for shaping and executing the leasing strategy across the group’s office and retail portfolio in Poland. At the same time, Izabela Potrykus has been appointed Leasing Office Director. Baczyńska brings more than 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate market. Prior to joining CPI Property Group in 2022, she served as International Leasing Director at Neinver Polska.
