A key national property in Budapest has been acquired by Eagle Hills, the Abu Dhabi-based developer. The purchase of the former interior ministry palace was confirmed by Hungarian media outlet Telex on 25 October 2025.
Located on a strategically important site, the building once occupied by the Ministry of Interior is now in the hands of the developer that had earlier been lined up for the controversial “Maxi Dubai” mega-project near Rákosrendező. That scheme, originally backed by the government and Eagle Hills, was effectively cancelled earlier in 2025.
The acquisition underlines Eagle Hills’ continued interest in the Hungarian capital.
