The ex-HQ of Budapesti Elektromos Művek, spanning over 22,000 sqm, has been sold in a deal brokered by Eston.

Originally built in 1893 as part of Budapest's first electricity supply centre, the complex is a significant piece of industrial heritage.

Attila Balogh, Partner and Head of Capital Markets at Eston, said: “We are delighted that this exceptional architectural landmark will continue to serve a new purpose as an educational centre for the long term."

The building, under national heritage protection since 2006, is renowned for its ornate brickwork, historically significant façade, and its domed corner tower, which remains a key feature of the district's skyline.

Following its revitalisation, the property is poised to be adapted for modern uses.
