HB Reavis has received a new syndicated loan from Erste Group and Raiffeisen Bank International Group (RBI Group) for the construction and development of Agora Budapest. The recently signed facility amount of €140 million makes it one of the largest in the Hungarian real estate sector. The financing club is led by Erste Group as book-runner and facility agent. Erste Group and RBI Group will finance the Agora Budapest project with equal parts.

The structure of the first two buildings of the urban development project is almost complete, awaiting their international anchor tenants Raiffeisen Bank and BP in 2020.

Agora Budapest will deliver a human-focused, healthy working environment, with green public spaces and amenities serving the need of all users. From a business perspective, networking will be supported by various events organised by HubHub, the co-working offices by HB Reavis. HubHub will become an innate part of Agora Budapest, creating a vibrant community of entrepreneurs and start-ups together with rather large corporations such as BP and Raiffeisen Bank.

Agora aims to incorporate smart workspace solutions by HB Reavis’s Symbiosy department, Origameo’s strategic workspace advisory and More’s wide range of services, including an in-house concierge or bike-sharing. All of these should not only support people’s productivity, but also their well-being. To emphasize the lifestyle feeling, the public spaces will provide relaxation zones with lush greenery and the square will offer a variety of events and amenities where people can enjoy their spare time.

Optimism prevails in CEE real estate as geopolitical risk looms large

by Property Forum
CEE's real estate market enters the second quarter of 2026 in a mood of measured confidence. According to Property Forum's survey of nearly 200 real estate professionals from across the region, the majority expect either stable but selective deal flow or a moderate recovery in transaction activity over the next 12 months. Regional CEE investors are seen as the primary engine of dealmaking, while foreign capital is expected to return only selectively. Residential and logistics assets lead on risk-adjusted appeal, and Poland remains the undisputed long-term growth leader. Yet beneath the cautious optimism, one concern towers above all others: geopolitical tensions, cited by nearly two-thirds of respondents as the greatest threat to the market.
