Gridarch (formerly Concens Investments), the BMW Group, the Statutory City of Ostrava and the Moravian-Silesian Region have laid the foundation stone of the BMW Group logistics centre this week.

This is being built on an area of 126,000 sqm in the Ostrava Airport Multimodal Park (#OAMP) near the Leoš Janáček Airport in Mošnov. Its pilot operation should start in Q1 2026, with full operation at the end of 2026. The BMW Group will ship its production components overseas - to Asia and America.

The development of the Phase III includes 3 halls, which will be used as a distribution centre by the BMW Group on the basis of a 10-year lease agreement.

"Thanks to the long-term lease agreement we have signed with BMW Group, we will be able to continue to develop the area where we have been operating since 2018 and which is special in its combination of air, truck and rail cargo transport," said Tomáš Novotný, CEO at Gridarch.
