A total of 57 housing units in Prague 6 have been acquired by the Prague Archbishopric after signing a contract with the developer Finep.

The five-floor building will be located in the U Šárky project in Prague 6. In addition to the residential units, it will also offer 60 parking spaces. The first residents could move into the house as early as the beginning of 2026. The value of the transaction is hundreds of millions of CZK.

XPlace, founded by the Archdiocese of Prague in 2021, is the umbrella platform of the Archdiocese of Prague for the development, management and offer of rental housing. The goal is, after the end of the state subsidy for the operation of the church in 2030, to create a revenue activity through rental housing.

The Czech company FINEP has been on the market since 1995 and has built over 15,000 new apartments. The developer was behind the revival of new cooperative construction in the Czech Republic and is also active in the rental housing segment.
