Elektrokontakt Romania (EKR), a subsidiary of ELEKTROKONTAKT GMBH, has leased 14,735 sqm for the next 10 years in Mureș City Logistics, jointly developed by Globalworth and Global Vision. Following this deal, the project has reached full occupancy rate.

EKR supplies electrical cables for the automotive industry worldwide. In the newly leased warehouse it will manufacture electrical cables for the Mercedes car division.

“As we continue to focus on smart, strategic investments, we aim to be facilitators of progress, both locally in Târgu Mureș and across Central and Eastern Europe,” said Mihai Zaharia, Head of Investments Romania / Group Capital Markets Director at Globalworth.

Sorin Preda, CEO & Founder Global Vision, said the company was attracted also due to the good infrastructure and skilled workforce available in the region.

The lease transaction was brokered by Colliers.

“With a particular emphasis on production, this transaction contributes to the creation of a significant number of new jobs, thus contributing to the development of the economic and social infrastructure of the local community,” said Victor Cosconel, Head of Office & Industrial Agencies at Colliers.
