Drees & Sommer, a European consulting company providing a single source of consultation and implementation services for the real estate, industrial, energy and infrastructure sectors has appointed Zdeněk Kovář as Managing Director for the Czech Republic.


In his new role, Zdeněk will focus on increasing awareness of the company and its service portfolio in the Czech market. He will also combine local market knowledge with the firm's strong presence in Germany and Austria and accelerate the development of the Czech office's service offering.

Zdeněk Kovář graduated from the Czech Technical University in Prague with a degree in Management and Economics in Civil Engineering. He has more than 20 years of professional experience in various areas of the construction industry. A large portion he spent with an established international consulting firm in the construction and real estate sector with British roots. He worked in several senior positions with responsibility for managing key projects across various segments and developing business activities in the Czech market.

"I am delighted to be leading the Czech office of this key European player in construction project management and real estate consulting.  I feel strong support from both the headquarters in Stuttgart, and from the other regional offices, including the Vienna office, with whom we work very closely daily," said Zdeněk Kovář, Managing Director at Drees & Sommer Czech Republic.

New appointments

  • Romanian office developer Genesis Property has appointed Cătălin Niculiță as Leasing Manager. With nearly 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, he has held leadership roles at real estate companies such as Atenor, collaborating with major office tenants in the banking, telecom, and IT sectors.
  • Krzysztof Wróblewski (MRICS) has been named Head of Portfolio Management CEE at Peakside Capital Advisors, responsible for overseeing investments and managing the real estate portfolio. He succeeds Christopher Smith in this role.
  • Garbe Industrial is reorganising its senior leadership team. CEO Christopher Garbe will now focus on strategic orientation and international activities. Jan Philipp Daun assumes leadership of the Development division alongside his existing Investment and Joint Venture responsibilities. Andrea Agrusow expands her remit to include Portfolio Management while retaining control of Commercial and Real Estate Management. Additionally, Michael Marcinek and Maik Zeranski will now jointly head the restructured Development unit as Management Board Members, succeeding Adrian Zellner.
