The Czech office of Drees & Sommer is expanding its management team. Markus Ising has been promoted to Managing Director with a focus on clients from the DACH region.

He will join Zdeněk Kovář, CEO of the Czech Republic, who manages the company's current business activities and expansion in the Czech market.

Markus Ising (54) started as Country Manager at Drees & Sommer Czech Republic in 2021. He has led several key projects mainly in the automotive and manufacturing industries that required coordination across markets between the Czech Republic, Germany, and Austria. He has also been instrumental in developing Drees & Sommer's key services on the Czech market, including project management, technical due diligence, cost management, quality and schedule control, sustainability consulting, LEAN management, BIM management, and design.

This spring, Markus was appointed Managing Director responsible for clients and new acquisitions from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. His other focus is ESG consulting, especially in energy optimisation.

"I am pleased that in the last three years, we have managed to successfully realise several important projects on the Czech market and establish the Drees & Sommer brand among the main local and international players," says Markus Ising, Managing Director, Drees & Sommer Czech Republic.

Previously, Markus Ising was Head of Real Estate & Engineering, including facility, asset and energy management, at MAKRO/METRO Cash & Carry in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
