Czech Inn Hotels has headed outside the capital. It is buying the Barceló Brno Palace Hotel in the Moravian metropolis with a price tag climbing to CZK 1 billion (€39.5 million), reports Seznamzpravy.cz.

Czech Inn Hotels started in 2003 by renting a small hotel in Harrachov. Today, the company is the largest hotel chain in the Czech Republic. It operates 26 hotels and offers guests more than 7,000 beds with over two million guests in 2024. Most of the hotels are four-star categories that are operated based on long-term leases. The chain has the most hotels in Prague, but now it is buying the Barceló Brno Palace Hotel.

It is a boutique hotel in the city centre that has 119 rooms, a wellness centre, conference facilities and a restaurant. It is located in the Historical Building of the Municipal Court, built between 1853 and 1855 on the site of the old municipal malt house. Until now, it was part of the international hotel chain Barceló. According to Seznam Zprávy, the hotel will now change its name to Czech Inn Palace.
