The American Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic has announced that Pavel Sovička, CEO of the development company Panattoni for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, has become its new president.

AmCham's goal is for the Czech Republic to be among the ten best EU economies in terms of GDP per capita. Therefore, it cooperates with its members to promote economic policy, provide market information and knowledge, generate business investments, share best practices in company management, connect members for business purposes and increase trade between the Czech Republic and the United States of America. AmCham is the Czech representative of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and part of the AmChams in Europe network.

Pavel Sovička has been working in the real estate industry for more than 25 years. He started his career at Healey & Baker (now Cushman & Wakefield), where he spent ten years. Since 2007, he has been building the Czech branch of Panattoni and extended it to Slovakia in 2019. During his practice, Pavel Sovička participated in transactions exceeding 2 million sqm of leased and sold space and implemented projects for more than 170 clients, including global brands such as Amazon, Coca-Cola, Panasonic, IKEA and DHL.

"It is an immense honour for me to accept the presidency of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic. I want to build on the leadership skills and transformational energy of Milan Šlapák, which revitalised our efforts to promote interests and strengthen the involvement of our members," says Pavel Sovička, the new president of AmCham.
