Cushman & Wakefield has appointed James Woodhead to head its EMEA wide Asset Services sustainability and environmental, social & governance (ESG) consultancy.

Woodhead is experienced in supporting corporates to develop environmental strategies and improve energy performance across real estate portfolios to help realise their long-term environmental ambitions and targets. This includes developing energy demand and carbon emission reduction pathways for net-zero. He has been at Cushman & Wakefield for three years.

In his new role, he will be leading and providing operational delivery of Asset Services sustainability and ESG-related topics with a particular focus on cross border investor clients. Cushman & Wakefield’s Asset Services business provides property management services for approximately 37 million sqm of commercial property in 14 countries across EMEA.

James Woodhead said: “I am excited to build on Cushman & Wakefield’s sustainability platform in Asset Services to further drive positive environmental and social impact on the ground with our property management teams to support our clients across EMEA to achieve their climate goals and ESG ambitions.”

Tina Reuter, Head of Asset Services EMEA at Cushman & Wakefield, said: “James has an outstanding reputation for understanding what properties and brands actively require to maximise their sustainable impact. At Cushman & Wakefield, we’re focused on delivering compelling and innovative strategies for our clients and their properties. “James’s experience complements our ESG expertise, deepens our capabilities and strengthens our ability to create value for both our clients and society. By fully integrating sustainability practices within Asset Services we can drive down the environmental impact of the assets we manage and positively impact the clients and communities we serve.”
