KKCG Real Estate Group and Alma Development have announced the first phase of the residential project Bydlení Meta Modřany in Prague 12. The renovation of the Chirana factory building is bringing the concept of compact urban housing in the form of lofts.


The first phase of the project will create 133 lofts with high ceilings of up to 4.3 m, supplemented by 50 standard units on the last two floors of the building. The smallest lofts have a usable area of 26.6 sqm, which is expanded to 39 sqm thanks to the mezzanine. 

The project is being developed by Coopera Development, a joint venture of KKCG Real Estate Group and Alma Development. The general contractor for the construction is Novecon, which is part of the KKCG group. The completion of the first phase is planned for the end of 2026. Currently, more than 60% of the units from the first phase have been sold.

A kindergarten is planned as part of the first phase, so as retail units on the ground floor of the building. The first stage will be followed by two more in the coming years – Meta Court Housing and Meta Towers Housing – consisting of new buildings with public spaces, squares and green areas.

The retailer further bolstered its Silesian presence with a 500 sqm location at Pogoria Shopping Centre and a new opening at CH Platan, significantly increasing its total floor space across Poland.

New appointments

  • Avison Young has promoted Bartłomiej Krzyżak and Marcin Purgal to the roles of Co-Heads of the Investment Department in Poland. Krzyżak, previously Senior Director, brings 18 years of commercial real estate experience, having joined Avison Young in 2017. Purgal, also a former Senior Director and a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), transitions into the co-head role with 23 years of experience in the CEE commercial markets.
  • Avison Young has strengthened its Polish leadership with three senior promotions. Patryk Błach ascends to Associate Director within the Investment Advisory Department. Kamil Głowienka has been named Senior Project Manager. Furthermore, Katarzyna Uzar becomes a Valuation and Innovation Specialist, tasked with integrating technological solutions and coordinating global departmental projects.
  • Katarzyna Myjak has joined Axi Immo as Senior Business Advisory Manager, tasked with strengthening the company’s Industrial & Logistics business line.
