Over the past year, Central Group has acquired approximately 240,000 sqm of new land for CZK 6 billion (€242 million) in seven Prague locations.
The largest acquisition was the purchase of a five-hectare plot of land next to the Olympic Hotel near the Invalidovna metro station in Karlín, Prague 8. This is one of the largest transactions on the housing market and the most expensive acquisition in the company's history. The total contributions to the city and the city district for the possibility of construction at this location exceed CZK 325 million (€13.1 million). They include, for example, the construction and free transfer of a thousand sqm of medical and office space in the Prague 8 city district. The investor launched a competitive urban planning workshop for this location at the end of May this year.
Two of the new acquisitions by Central Group were made in Prague 9. There, the company is already building, for example, Tesla Hloubětín, which has long been the best-selling housing project in the Czech Republic.
In total, Central Group owns more than 1.5 million sqm of land and brownfields, on which it is preparing almost 40 thousand apartments for approximately 80 thousand people.
