BNP Paribas Real Estate has appointed Karel Bor as the new Managing Director in the Czech Republic. Karel Bor brings with him over 20 years of professional experience within the real estate industry including brokerage, advisory and property development.  


He began his career at Knight Frank’s Office Agency. Over the years, Karel has gained experience in property, facility and asset management as he acted as Country Manager for Immofinanz Group AG for the Czech and Slovakian markets. Prior to joining BNP Paribas Real Estate, Karel held the position of General Manager and Partner in LEXXUS Group.

“This is an exciting challenge and I am looking forward to joining the team of both young talents and experienced professionals in both CEE and the whole BNP Paribas Real Estate. During my career, I gained knowledge about a wide range of services for developers and other business clients. My experience includes, among others, acquisitions and investments, property, facility and asset management and strategic planning with a successful track record in delivering a return on invested capital. I will be pleased to share my knowledge with the rest of the team which should affect strengthening of the position and increasing the share of BNP Paribas Real Estate in domestic and CEE real estate market,” says Karel Bor, Managing Director for the Czech Republic, BNP Paribas Real Estate.

By taking over the position of Managing Director, Karel will be responsible for the supervision of Office Agency, Industrial & Logistics, Valuation, Capital Markets and Property Management. He will manage the key company accounts and will be responsible for implementing and introducing to the Clients a new offer and strategy of BNP Paribas Real Estate in the Czech Republic.

“Karel, with his extensive experience and market knowledge, will not only be a great leader for our Czech operation but also add great value and be supportive of the CEE team. He has managed multidiscipline teams throughout his career and in several countries, which will help us bring our holistic approach to the organization and our clients,” added Erik Drukker, Chief Executive Officer, Central and Eastern Europe, BNP Paribas Real Estate.

New leases

  • XXS GYM has signed a lease for over 850 sqm of space in the modern O3 Business Campus office complex, located on Opolska Street in the northern part of Cracow.
  • Alior Bank has extended its lease at Ocean Office Park B in Kraków to accommodate its Private Banking Department. The deal, supported by brokerage firm CBRE, marks the final stage of a two-year consolidation of the bank's Kraków operations. Following the expansion, the bank occupies approximately 7,000 sqm within the Cavatina Group-owned complex.
  • TriGranit has finalized a lease extension with Mondelez Europe Services to remain in the Signum Work Station building through 2032. Facilitated by broker CBRE, the agreement secures nearly 4,000 sqm of office surface for the global snacks group member within Warsaw’s Mokotów district.

New appointments

  • Katarzyna Myjak has joined Axi Immo as Senior Business Advisory Manager, tasked with strengthening the company’s Industrial & Logistics business line.
  • Czech investment group SCF has expanded its team by appointing Jan Simandl as Senior Leasing Team Leader. In this role, Simandl will oversee leasing activities across the company’s commercial property portfolio. He previously worked for CPI Property Group and CBRE.
  • Michał Kochanowski-Laren has joined Avison Young Poland’s Technical Advisory and Project Management team as Project Manager. In his new role, he is responsible for delivering a variety of consultancy projects across all segments of the commercial real estate market in Poland. Kochanowski-Laren is an electrical engineer and a graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology.
