BIG Poland has expanded its portfolio by acquiring the Multishop Suwałki retail park with 13,000 sqm of space. The company now owns 9 fully commercialized retail parks in Poland, totalling 175,300 sqm of GLA. The price has not been disclosed.

Multishop Suwałki is located in the northern part of the city, adjacent to one of Suwałki’s largest residential neighbourhoods, a DIY OBI store, the Suwałki bypass and the Via Baltica route.

"The acquisition of the Multishop Suwałki retail park is another investment that reinforces BIG Poland’s commitment to developing the Polish retail sector. It also represents a key part of our strategy of acquiring high-quality assets. Multishop Suwałki stands out due to its excellent location – it also attracts many customers from Lithuania, who visit Suwałki in large numbers, especially on weekends. In addition to the diverse retail offer provided by well-known and popular brands such as HalfPrice, Biedronka, JYSK, Media Expert and RTV Euro AGD, the park provides complementary services such as a 24/7 car wash, ATM, parcel lockers, food outlets, and convenient free parking. As part of the transaction, we also acquired a plot designated for future development", says Eran Levy, CEO BIG Poland.

The seller is a developer actively acquiring attractive plots in well-connected locations. They build retail parks that offer residents easy and convenient access to various shopping and services. Their activities cover the whole investment process – from land acquisition and zoning plan changes through design and construction to commercialization and property management during operation.

BIG Poland has been actively operating in the Polish market since 2022 and currently holds a portfolio of nine fully commercialized retail parks - located in Łubna near Warsaw, Lubin, Andrychów, Gorzów Wielkopolski, Ostróda, Włocławek, Myszków, Olsztyn and Suwałki with a total GLA of 175,300 sqm. In addition, the company has three development projects currently in the pipeline, located in Piła, Olkusz, and Konstantynów.

BIG Poland is part of the international BIG Shopping Centers group, which is the majority shareholder of Afi Properties (approximately 89.29%). The BIG Shopping Centers group focuses on developing and managing retail projects in Israel and Central and Eastern Europe, including Poland, Romania, the Czech Republic, and Serbia. Meanwhile, Afi Properties specializes in the office segment and residential leasing. BIG Shopping Centers also actively invests in the renewable energy sector.
