Auto Partner, one of the largest auto parts distributors in Poland, has leased 30,000 sqm of modern commercial space at MLP Zgorzelec. It will be the first tenant in a new logistics centre being built near the border with Germany and the Czech Republic. With the new transaction, the total space leased by this auto parts distributor and importer in MLP Group facilities has increased to nearly 60,000 sqm.

MLP Group is expanding its cooperation with the Auto Partner Group. Under the new lease contract, it will provide its long-time partner with nearly 30,000 sqm of space in the MLP Zgorzelec logistics centre, which is currently under development. Of this, 28,500 sqm will be used for warehousing purposes, and more than 1,100 sqm will be an office and staff amenity space.

Auto Partner is an importer and distributor of spare parts for passenger cars, light commercial vehicles and motorcycles. The company operates as a sales (mainly e-commerce) and logistics platform for just-in-time supplies of spare parts to dispersed customers, mainly repair shops and automotive retailers.

“We are starting a project to develop a new logistics centre in south-western Poland, near the border with Germany and the Czech Republic. We are very pleased that the first lease contract has been entered into with our long-standing partner, which already uses two of our other facilities. In line with our strategy, all of our newly built facilities, including the one in Zgorzelec, will undergo BREEAM certification to confirm that we follow international environmental standards,” said Agnieszka Góźdź, Member of the Management Board and Chief Development Officer at MLP Group S.A.

“Last year was a record one for us in many respects. Among other achievements, for the first time in our history, we reported revenue in excess of PLN 2 billion after just three quarters of the year. What is more, nearly 50% of our revenue now comes from exports. But we are not stopping here and we want to grow further. Therefore, we have decided to expand the area of our projects, which is already over 100,000 sqm, by nearly a third. This move is expected to facilitate, among other things, stepping up our operations outside Poland. And with this in mind we have opted for building a new logistics centre near the border with Germany and the Czech Republic,” comments Aleksander Górecki, CEO of Auto Partner S.A.

The facility for Auto Partner will be built with the height increased to 11 meters, net. Also, automation solutions will be implemented inside the facility. Outside there will be a large parking lot capable of accommodating about 500 cars. The facility will meet BREEAM certification requirements.

Auto Partner is a long-time customer of MLP Group, working with the company since 2016. Currently, it uses 13,200 sqm of space at the MLP Pruszków II logistics centre and 14,500 sqm of space at MLP Poznań West.

MLP Zgorzelec is a new logistics park in the MLP Group portfolio. The project may deliver approximately 90,000 sqm of warehousing space. It is only about 13 km from each of the border crossing with Germany in Jędrzychowice and the Zawidów border crossing with the Czech Republic. At the same time, the park is located only 6 km off the A4 highway.
