Property developer Anchor Grup has secured a financing volume of €80 million from Banca Transilvania that will be used to refinance the retail and office segments of the company.

The loan is one the biggest granted to a property company in recent years and representatives of BT say that banks provide the most efficient financing options for developers.

“Our partnership with BT is a positive sign for the real estate market, not only for our Group, but also for all active investors in the country and for potential foreign real estate investors interested in Romania. The availability of local capital is also a sign of the maturity of the Romanian real estate market, in whose strength we strongly believe, and is likely to encourage this trend and transfer it to other industries," said Affan Yildirim, Managing Director, Member of the Board of Directors of Anchor Grup and Member of the Board of Directors of Shopping MallDova.

Law firm PeliPartners assisted Anchor Grup on drawing up the financing terms.
