AFI Europe's AFI Karlín office complex in Prague has announced the arrival of new tenants. A law firm is moving its team here, and a media and entertainment company is going to open a development centre for its streaming video service in the building.

Wolf Theiss is one of the leading law firms in Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe. With more than 390 lawyers in 13 countries, including the Czech Republic and Slovakia, it represents local and international industrial enterprises, trading companies, banks, and insurance companies.

"Wolf Theiss will be located in AFI Karlín from October this year, on two floors with a total area of 1,350 sqm. I am convinced that the Wolf Theiss team and their clients will appreciate the spaces on the top floor with a terrace and a view of the surroundings," describes Kateřina Holická, asset manager at AFI Europe.

Sky is creating a platform in Prague on which many streaming services belonging to the multinational Comcast group operate. In addition to Sky Showtime, also known to Czech viewers, it includes the American Peacock and the African Showmax. Showmax is the key reason why Sky's main development centre will be located in Prague. After a series of ownership changes at the beginning of this year, the Czech branch of Showmax disappeared and technologically its product came under Sky.

“Construction work on the 1,350 sqm fit-out has already started. Modern offices are being created in cooperation with the architectural studio Perspektiv. The estimated date of their opening is the beginning of next year," comments Kateřina Holická.

The AFI Karlín administrative complex, also nicknamed Butterfly, was completed at the beginning of 2018. It is located near the Křižíkova metro station and offers 23,000 sqm of leasable space. Current tenants include ALEF, mBank, Slevomat.cz, Edenred, IQVIA and Maersk Czech Republic.
