The Academia office building has reached nearly 100% office occupancy, less than a year and a half after a comprehensive refurbishment.

The building’s developers Europa and ConvergenCE pursued a renovation process in 2023 that preserved the building's heritage character while upgrading it with advanced technology and sustainable features.

Csaba Zeley, Managing Director at ConvergenCE, said: "Despite significant global uncertainty at the time of our acquisition, our agile in-house leasing team achieved near-full occupancy in just 18 months, with rents surpassing prime Budapest levels."

Shapr3D now occupies a total of 2,800 sqm, making it the building’s largest tenant. The global tech company, which operates an ‘office-first’ model, has found Academia to be an ideal environment.

"The opportunity to expand within Academia reaffirms our belief that a modern, employee-focused office enhances not only collaboration but also creativity," said Dominika Haag, Senior Office Manager at Shapr3D.

"With the building’s high-end services and innovative shared spaces, we are able to strengthen our team and improve the efficiency of our daily operations."

The building has been awarded the Breeam Excellent certification and recently obtained the Well Gold certification for its traditional wing, in addition to the Well Core Platinum rating for its modern section.

The owners said they have only one remaining office suite of 400 sqm available for lease.
